Well, I am a neophyte - completely new to blogging! It's Black Friday and I am distressed that greedy consumers have forsaken the meaning of Advent and Christmas for the pursuit of... things!!
I've recently created a facebook page, and yesterday I Skyped with family in Corvallis, OR, Knoxville, TN and Pompano Beach, FL. Very cool! Right now I am on a steep zoom upward with technology. I'm a little bit of a techno geek. Not cutting edge, of course, but sort of an early adopter (the true techno geeks would disagree with me on that). But in the last week I've facebooked, Skyped and now I'm blogging for heaven's sake!!!
I've been decorating the house and deck with greens - I'm even thinking of getting a tree soon, which is earlier than in past years. I'm really feeling the Christmas spirit and looking forward to the season.
Lots of singing ahead and I've already caught, and hopefully recovered from, the seasonal cold. Here's to staying healthy through the remainder of 2008!!!
Our two fabulous Australia Shepherds, Winnie and Shooter, will turn 14 this Monday, Dec 1st. They're still healthy, and they still love going for walks. But they're both almost completey deaf. I think it's a bit distressing for them since they're used to cueing off of noise to know where we are and what's going on. Winnie stays glued to Rog most of the day. Shooter prefers sleeping on the comfy bed (ours, of course) upstairs.
Wishing you love, peace and serenity for the season!
Miscellaneous musings by Sue. Vaguely entertaining - ALWAYS spell-checked
